If Chuck Norris was a shark.

This would pretty closely resemble it.

Harharhar

I was in town with my best friend one day, and they suggested we went into the famously kinky sweet shop. They had every single shape, size and coloured sweets, even penis shaped ones! We tried to lick towards the sweets but my small friend, penis just couldn't stop ejeculate all over them! So we got thrown out!

Great game.

I realy liked this game.

The game realy had a great concept, but a problem was that the workout was a little bit "messy".
One thing that i would like to see is a round system, this would clear up some things and give the AI actualy a chance against my 50k/second income.

While playing this game i've found two problems.

1. Scores over one million are not displayed on the mission list.
2. Sometimes i strangely got negative in the amount of money i had, one time i even had -70000.

This is a great game, but it could use some work, especialy a round system and allowing you to upgrade your units or make the player "unlock" newer units would make this game a better and more fair challange.

I would realy look forward to a sequal of this exelent game.

Pico Roulette Pico Roulette

Lovely and unique.

In short, this game delivers great fun yet revolving around an old Rock-Paper-Scissors game.

The reason that made this game so fun and yet unique was the way it was presented, with real Pico characters with dark humour and fun animations.

It also allowed you to chat with your NG buddies wich i greatly apriciated, what isn't more fun than taunting your buddy while he blows his own brains out? Haha!

On to the details,

Graphics - 7
The animation sets where great and stylish, but the graphics weren't extremely great.

Style - 8
Great style coupeled with the Pico team, i loved this unique twist to Rock-Paper-Scissors!

Sound - 7
A nice soundtrack and fun sounds, well done.

Violence - 9
Watching your buddy blowing his own brains out while playing Rock-Paper-Scissors, awesome!

Interactivity - 8
A simple Rock-Paper-Scissors game doesn't have alot of interactivity, but this one is great, you can play and chat with friends, it just doesn't ever get old!

Humor - 8
Use of dark humour was greatly apriciated, well done!

Overal - 8
Great game, i loved the style of play and being able to play with other people around the net.
Nothing is more fun than seeing your best buddy blowing his own brains!

Thank you for creating such a fun game, and goodluck with future projects,

The Last Stand. The Last Stand.

Rated 4.5 / 5 stars

A masterpiece.

Every little bit of this game has been perfectly worked out and is extremely detailed, not only that but it is also extremely fun and unique to play, if you can say that about a game its a true masterpiece.

Let me get into the details.

Graphics - 10
Not a single flaw on this one, the quality was amazing, the animation was fluid as silk and the varity was awesome.

Style - 9
Lovely zombie survivor with unique new things added, the envoriment was great and resourcefull, wonderfull!

Sound - 9
Crisp and beatifull sounds, nothing more nothing less.

Violence - 10
Shooting up zombies and tearing them too bits, who doesn't love that?

Interactivity - 8
Great varity of zombies, weapons and unique new things added, however it just missed a bit, there could've been more, but it is just great as it is now!

Humor - 6
There wasn't mutch, but the shopping list was pretty hilarious.

Overal - 9
This isn't a game you see every day, this game has been worked out in the extreme details and realy deserves a place on the frontpage.

Idea's / To improve on

- Being able to jump over the fence to for example get closer to the zombies for a more accurate shot, while taking mutch more damage while not covered by the barricade.

- Being able to explore little bits of the town or be able to choose where to explore, choose more dangerous area's if you have lots of survivors, or play it save and choose a less dangerous place near the barricade.

- Using hours to build new objects, buildings, or using parts found to upgrade current weapons.
For example, building a bigger barricade, placing spikes on the ground to slow the zombies and eventualy damage them, equip a shotgun with a kitchen knife, as crazy as it gets!

Last words.

Fantastic game, i surely do hope and i do trust this'll end up on the frontpage as it deserves, this game will always have a special place in my favorite list.

Good luck with your future projects,

Yiffy.

Project Validus: Survival Project Validus: Survival

Rated 4 / 5 stars

Exelent, yet rather unfinished.

The game itself is verry fun, especialy because you have multiple weapons, items and can devolp your character.

The graphics and animations where very nicely done, so where the backgrounds.
Only the graphics in the menu's where a bit lacking.

The style was also great, i love topdown-shooting, especialy when zombies come into play.
Also adding a RPG element to this was a good choise.

The sound was also nice, when being able to choose from mutliple background music tracks, and lots of special effects.

The interactivity was also high, though not remarkable.
Yes, you could choose from weapons, rpg element and items and lots of enemies, but it just lacked something.
For example other survivors, story, and personal goals or achievements.

The lacking points where ofcourse the story, since it didn't have any.

Another lacking point would be the amount of other things other than zombie shooting, things that would make this game more interesting.
Like goals, others wich fight with you, vehicles.

Up to the marks.

Graphics - 8
The graphics and animations where verry well done.
Though the menu graphics could be better.

Style - 8
Zombie shooting fun with an RPG element, great fun.

Sound - 7
Sounds where nicely done, you could choose wich sound to play and there where various special effects.

Violence - 7
Lots of blood and zombie action!

Interactivity - 7
Lots of weapons to choose from, lots of enemies and an rpg element, yet missing a goal or a story.

Humor - 0
None.

Overal - 8
This game was very nicely done, i'm looking forward to a version with more goals or assets and especialy a story.

Idea's

I'd suggest you to make the player shoot in a line, other than just only shooting the area where you aim, this would make the game fairly more fun and would add a better action element if you ask me.

Add assets, like friends, buildings wich you can climb, baricades, vehicles.. etc.

Last words.

Verry good game, i enjoyed it alot.
The only thing i'm missing is a story or goals, then it would be perfect.

Thanks for making this game, and good luck with future projects.

Endless War 3 Endless War 3

Rated 4.5 / 5 stars

Better and better!

Yes, and again you do it.
Great game, i realy love it.

The thing i realy apriciate if flash autors don't just give up their concept, and keep working on it, and you've done it greatly.

The posetive.

The game itself is verry fun, having missions be able to choose weapons and blasting your way trough alot of enemies using strategy.

The style was excelent, having lots of missions and an rather more unique shooter than the common ones.

The interactivity was also great, you could choose lots of missions, options, lots of weapons to choose from and on.

A good review wouldn't be without the critics, so here they are.

Background music was a bit lacking, so was a varity in sound effects.

The grapics wheren't super, but they where OK.
I could help you on some static menu's or the HUD if you want, i'm an experienced photoshop user.

The game could also be a bit laggy at times, especialy because some AI's started shooting at each other at the begin of the round.

The AI was also sometimes a bit "Cheaty", let me explain.
For example when you try to sneak around them, even if they see one single pixel of you around the corner they notice you from what i've experienced, but the rest of the AI was just fine though.

Ratings

Graphics - 7
The graphics where OK, though not awesome.

The menu's and backgrounds could use a tint-up.
I can help you with the menu's & hud if you want me too, drop me a PM.

Style - 8
Original and very fun shooter, a realy great experience.

Sound - 6
Lacking background music and a low varity of sound effects, but it was OK.

Violence - 8
Lots of violence and action, can't give anything lower than this.

Interactivity - 9
Lots to do, loads of missions, weapons, enemies, Perfect!

Humor - 2
Didn't sight any mutch humor yet, could be me.

Overal - 9
I personely loved your game from the beginning of version 1, and it has been getting better on.
I'd say keep it up.

Idea's & Suggestions.

Try working on somewhat bigger missions, or missions that could use improved AI.
For example sneaking around enemies with just a mere knife.

Or more objectives like rescueing a hostage or eliminating one enemy without killing others, or retrieving a package or disarming a bomb!

How about a money system, buy better armor, weapons, gear and such with money you earned trough the missions you succeed, this would add alot of interactivity.

Making AI more realistic, for example being able to sneak behind them or make them take cover for example, this would greatly improve the game but ofcourse be imense hard.

Final words.
Awesome game, i love the way you improved your game and just didn't gave up at once.
I'm glad that there are still flash artists like that around here.

Thanks for creating such a great game & i wish you the best luck in future projects.

Pandemic Pandemic

Rated 4 / 5 stars

Innovative!

This game offers a realy unique gameplay and posebilities.
I've never saw a game like this, actualy playing for the germs and viruses instead of saving the world.

The grapics where verry well done, but at some other side they where also somewhat absent, but you've done a nice job.

The style was excellent, unique and innovative, i just loved making my own kind of virus and wiping out all of mankind.
What added even more to the enjoyment was the headlines, verry well done.

The sound was OK, though absent where soundeffects, the background music was just nice and muteable!

There wasn't mutch voilence present though, the voilence there was was displayed trough text, but that doesn't matter at all.

The interactivity was high, though could be better.
You could devolp your own virus, but that was it... though it also allows for stratiegies its still just a bit lacking total customization of your virus, or random events.

Humor.. well i atleast didn't found any.

Criticism

Well, the game offered an unique experience, though it missed just some things that could make it a total awesome game.

For example visuals, how about you could *see* if you clicked a country how many people where in it, for example a little city filled with people, less people will apear if more are dead, or infected people apear, people fall dead etc.

The sound was also a little abscent, there was background music but there weren't any nice sound effects or such.

And last not least, interactivity.
Yes, you could do alot but it was just somewhat lacking.
For example customizing your virus on visuals, or different objectives, strategies for spreading or random events.

Grades

- Graphics 7
They where nice, but there wasn't mutch to be viewed at all.

- Style 9
Verry unique and innovative, keep it up!

- Sound 6
There was a nice background tune but other sound was abscent.

- Violence 6
There wasn't any voilence to be vieuwed, only in words.
But due to the fact that you had to kill half of mankind, i grant this a 6.

- Interactivity 7
On one side, there was alot of posebilities, but for it being perfect it just lacked something.

- Humor 0
Didn't notice any humor.

Overal - 8

Idea's / Suggestions

- Ways to spread your virus.
Drop vials of your virus in the water company, drop some vails on the street, let loose an iffected animal in the city or how about a missle with a viral warhead?

- Visual Customization
How about being able to customize your virus visualy?
For example if your virus is resistant to heat, it grows little hairs.
But if your virus is airborne, it is for example a different shape than usualy.. and on.

- Objectives
Having to do a thing, or preventing a thing etc.
While this game is simple objectives would give an unique challange.
For example infecting a country, but preventing another country from being infected.

- Random Events
Events that randomly happen, for example when your virus get spread due to a circuimstance, when they find a cure for your virus so you have to mutate it or when another virus arises wich kills your virus, or when someone passes a border illigaly and spreads the virus in that country, etc.

- Anti-Viruses
Other germs and medical equipment wich you have to protect your virus from.
For example a germ wich destroys your virus, while if you mutate it it would be resisant or it could actualy counter it.

- More visuals.
How about cutscenes, of random events.
Or if you could click a country and see a little city with people in it, lots of dead and you'll see a quiet city, while if all alive its crowded, or when many infected you see lots of green-faces.

Final Words

Well for what you've done now, you've done a great job.
The game itself is verry unique and verry enjoyable.
I dearly hope you make a sequal to this with more posebilties, and then hopefully atleast one of the things i mentioned.

Thank you for making this game, and wish you the best luck in future projects.

Happy Cyclopsland Happy Cyclopsland

Rated 4 / 5 stars

Loved it.

The is an perfect example of a fun game!
Its not always visual quality that matters, sometimes you have to drag fun over quality.

I loved the flying system, and bombing away innocent people, add to that the hilarious drawings, lovely and fun game.

As i said, visual quality is not always that matters, but that doesn't get you a high grade on the Graphics level, though that doesn't matter if your game is fun.
But one thing was verry nicely done about the grapics, the explosions and ignitions of the rockets, those where lovely.

The sounds where fairly well done, they weren't real quality work but they added points to the hilarious fun level though. :)

Add lots of voilence and humour to that, and you got this game... Lovely fun stress releaving time waster.

Grapics - 6
They wheren't that nice, but it doesn't matter.
Explosions and ignitions where verry nicely done.

Style - 8
Fun, what can i say more, crazy action shooting people down from a plane, didn't see a game like this that often.

Sound - 7
It wasn't that great, but on the other hand it fits this game just fine!

Voilence - 8
Killing people from a plane, endless voilence. :)

Interactivity - 8
There was mutch to do, nice set of weapons and upgrades, leveling and special attacks, but after a while it may become repetetive though, add to that that leveling gets a bit TOO slow after a while.

Humor - 8
Hilarious shooting and random voilence, nothing more to say. :)

Overall - 8

How to improve?
Well this might seem hard or strange, but just take these as idea's.

Money system, instead of leveling maybe you could allow us pitstops beetween levels where we can purchase lives, upgrades, weapons etc.

More enemies,
How about, naval enemies? Killing people on a cruiser, air enemies, robots, futuristic enemies, mutants, monsters... and go on :)

Other planes
How about planes wich allow more weapons, or wich are more powerfull or could take more fire?

But then again, these are just idea's.

As a final word, this is a very fun game, keep on going like this. :)

BasV responds:

first of all; thanks for taking the time to write such an epic review.

I agree with most of your comments. About the leveling going too slow; Once you defeat Tom Fulp, you more or less completed the game. Everything after that point gets very hard on purpose.

Money system; I don't really like money systems.. at least not is random violence games. Take a look at grand theft auto. You hit someone, and get money for it.. who came up with that idea!? :P That's why I just left it at a experience system. Not that realistic as well, but I think it's better.

More Enemies;
I planned on making more enemies. But the game got slow after a while (It's my first game in flash, and making it was my flash-learning process) so I decided to leave it at the number of enemies I already had. I had plans for enemy planes/choppers/ground turrets. Too bad:P You'll see that in Happy Cyclops Land 2 (and they will look better, since I'll stick to programming then.) Oh and mutants, monsters... Happy Halloween land maybe ^^ .
Other planes is a nice idea.. but I didn't feel like drawing more of them at the time.

Again, thanks for the review!

Aevarrian Coliseum 2 Aevarrian Coliseum 2

Rated 3.5 / 5 stars

Good, yet bad.

Well at first glance, this is a nice game, but it is badly unbalaned.

The mayor problem is that the only tactic to win from most enemies is just spamming the jump-attack at them, they'll most likely use attacks wich outrange yours, and they use special attacks on you when you stand up and can't do anything about it.

Another downpoint was that combat was a bit choppy, some heroes just attack, then after the attack wait one seconds, whilst the enemy is kicking my ass, literaly.

The last problem was that the enemy somehow deals far more damage, i used some special attacks and the enemy somehow had 90% health left, he knocked me down and used a special attack on me, when i couldn't do anything about it and i was 50%, wierd.

The storyline was also a bit weird and bland, but thats what i espect from a game like this, i would like to see more interactivity or animation in the story, reading just textboxes beetween the fights is just plain boring and pointless, if you ask me atleast.

The game itself was pretty nice, the fighting was fun, but yet could become boring because there are not mutch other elements in the game other than just fighting and button smashing.

The animation was pretty well done, though the grapics themselves could sometimes be improved, for example by making some static images with photoshop rather than flash limited capebilities.

The sound was nice, the music looped nice, yet i am missing a little mute button whilst playing.

Interactivity was also decent enough, though it just misses some other elements like for example walking around without fight, buying equipment or exploring for example.

My rates are as following, added with an explanation.

Grapics - 7
The animation and grapics where well done.
Though on some static images you could see that the grapics where done with flash, not that beautiful.
What i would like to see is animated cutscenes, instead of text boxes though.

Style - 7
Fighting, fighting and fighting.
Just misses other things.
The fact that the only way you could win from some outranging attack spamming bosses was just jumping them to death also toned down this rating.

Sound - 8
Good enough, nice loops and nice sound effects.. miss a mute button here though.

Voilence - 8
This game resembles pure voicelence, can't rate it low on this factor.

Interactivity - 7
While the game offers more modes of play, they all resemble just plain fighting, i miss other elements.

Humor - 4
Other than that *fart* joke, i didn't see any more funny things, doesn't matter.

All in all, nice game you got there, but you might want to work on the things i pointed out.

Also idea's for things too ad might be, exploring, missions and buyable items?

Put this review into some thought, overal nice game you have here.. but could be better.

I grant this an overal of, 7.
